Rental Vehicles:
Prices for station-wagon cars and vans depend largely on length of hire, time of year and type of vehicle. A station-wagon during the summer will go for $30/day for long hires and $35-$40 for 10-20 days, depending on location and drop off points.The cheapest pick and drop off point is where I am based, Mapua near Nelson.
Vans will be roughly $50-60/day, costs again depending on mitigating factors (i.e. drop off points).
Winter rates. i.e. May to October, will have a 15% discount. Always best to mail and phone for availability and a quote.
Car relocations are negotiable depending distance travelled and whether possible to combine on existing trip.
Its no problem to come and meet you at the airport, either Nelson or Christchurch.
